Hi,

I am developing a mail programme for my own mail server in VB. I want the users to run the programme without an install to which my programme will check at startup what comm components will b required, i want the programme to copy the files it needs from my mail server. I have a folder with a couple of required files. Can the server be set to allow anyone access to the folder without any form of authentication?

If these are internal users and your server is on the same domain/workgroup with these users, you can allow Domain users Read right to the folder where these files belong

No, the users will be from any geographical location, on any network. The programme will access the folder?
