Can someone tell me if the upgrade version of XP is on the standerd disk, i seem to remember that Win98 came on different disks for upgrade and standard.

I think that the two disks are exactly the same, apart from the price and that the Upgrade disk looks for proof of an upgrade path. If you do a clean install with the upgrade disk, it doesn't copy anything from the old os, does it? So the CD must have exactly the same data on it as the full! (I expect that goes for Win 98 as well)

The disks are different, but do contain the entire os. The full retail version can be used to upgrade if that's what you're after. The OEM version can not be used to upgrade.
