Win XP Pro won't finish loading

Hi all,
I am running windows xp pro and I installed kapersky anti virus, and rebooted.
Now windows won't fully load and half the icons are there, the task bar is busy constantly.
I can't do a thing...
Any ideas??

reboot into safe mode and uninstall kapersky or rollback to a restore point.
