I have two xp computers connected through a router. On one of the computer I have an external HD which I have set to shared. But still I can't access it from the other connected computer.

How do I access that external HD from another connected computer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

What permissions did you set/assign when you shared it? (The default in Win XP Pro is that the 'Everyone' account gets 'Read', not 'Full Control'.)

Hope this helps...

The option for Allow Network Users to change Files has already been checked.

The hard disk (E:) can be seen from the other computer. But when I double click it, it does not let me access it.
