Hi All,
Trying to do a data recovery on a customers hard drive that was unbootable, BSOD win XP. The message was ntfs.sys missing or corrupted.
Well I tried all my tricks:
Safemode NO GO, BSOD
Recovery Console NO GO, BSOD
Barte PE NO GO, couldn't see the C: drive
So I did some surfing and found an atricle about Linux Knoppix Live
I burned the CD and it worked. I could see the C: Drive and I copied the files to an external Hard Drive.
Bottom line Knoppix is a great tool to have in your tool box.
