I recently upgraded to Win XP from Win 98 (had PWS). After the upgrade I checked and i got the page cannot be displayed message. Checked if IIS was installed. It was. I went to MMC and under IIS i failed to find FTP Sites and/or Web Sites. Please help me, why can i not connect to local host. (pinging the server works) Ranjan

IIS doesnt get installed by default, you have to install it after the initial installation of XP. Go to add/remove programs, then add windows components and install Internet Information Service or you can just install the Windows XP dsk and when the XP menu comes up, pick add new components I think. There you will also find the IIS stuff you will need.

After that, go back and check and you should have it installed.

Good Luck
