We are running a three computer network. A server and two work stations. However in this situation the server is un-involved.
The first work station is running NT 4.0 workstation and is running win proxy server sharing a dial-up connection. The second computer is also running NT 4.0 workstation and is running the win proxy client software. The first computer can connect to the internet just fine and browse any site. The second computer can connect to the internet as well, however, it cannot connect to microsoft.com. Any other site it can connect to just fine. All the security settings in IE is set to default. I've tried re-installing the proxy client, clearing the cache on the proxy server, restarting the proxy service, restarting the computers, ect. I've also tried taking the second computer to a different network and different isp connection and it can browse to microsoft.com just fine. I know its something with the proxy but I need some assistance on this. If anyone can give me some help on this issue that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Akira
