Win Fiol connection speed????

I am controlling the MD-110 throw an RS-232 connection with my pc, using Win Fiol 5.1 version.
I recently format the pc and reconfigured the connection throw the Fiol set up.
I am curious because i had and i have the connection to 9600kp....If i increase or decrease this parameter in the Fiol configuration do i get something in return????
Maybe better speed in executing commands....etc?
Please advice...

If you are using IPU as access card you can use up to 9600 bps, but if you use NIU/NIU2 you can go up to 38400. The only improvement i can see is when you are obtaining PC-Regen print commands, the data prints faster and it saves a lot of time.

I am using the IPU unfortunately......
I am printing quit often, mostly in order to check the Alarm faults, so it will be useful to do it in better speed.
I must say that the printing is slow.
Which is the max speed i can configure and this to be executable and responding using the IPU?
