Win 98 screensaver used in XP

This may seem like a dumb question, but is it ok to use my underwater win98 screensaver on my xp computer?
Will it work properly. Its just a program right?

Test it and find out. I don't see why it wouldn't work, and if for some reason it doesn't, run it in compatibility mode for Windows 2000, it should work then.

It is a program whose specifications have changed repeatedly. There are MS screensavers that no longer work reliably after SP1. There are Plus! for XP screensavers that are no longer recommnded that they be run.

I would not bother with it.
