I am running windows 98 and inoculateIT 6.0.96 and I am getting the occasional machine which will just hang shortly after the user login occurs. Other environment characteristics which may effect this are Novell Client 3.1 on the workstations and Netware 5.0.

there is nothing that is obviously different in the machines that are hanging v's the ones that are fine.

we have applied service pack 2 and driver update avdrvup.exe as well as latest signature update.

These same machines were all running Inoculate for windows 95 prior to this install without issues and it doesn't seem to make any difference whether we uninstall the previous installation prior to installing v6.0.96 or not.

btw, it also doesn't seem to matter whether we use Vet scan engine or Inoculate....same issue occurs, seemingly at the same time.

Hi,
Did you already try to exclude network drives from the real time scan?

Thanks hollebcons, yes we have network drives excluded.

Plentym:
Found your post from last year. We have recently experienced this same issue. Did you every get a resolution to this problem?
Any help is appreciated!
-Brian

We have a similar issue w/ NT4.0. Realmon.exe takes a while to load and hangs up other apps that are loading at the same time. If you stop realmon.exe from loading at startup does the problem still occur?
