Does anyone know why, when i start defrag it hangs at 0% and/or how to fix it with out reformating. Microsoft's solution was to clear out temp files but thats stupid. I was thinking maybe defrag itself was corupt but then scandisk does not find any problems. Should i try coping defrag from another sys. and replacing the current one? I see this rather often and am tired of reinstalling windows so i thought there might be a better solution.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Dear

Just open the c: drive and double click on windows directory
be sure that all the hidden files are displaying

now click on "applog" folder and delete it.
restart your computer and try again for defragment

99% it will work but in other case check that ur hdd has not having bad sectors.
to check this go to the command prompt (press ctrl key when windows going to boot)
run the scandisk and get the assurity.

reply me if u solved this problem.
