I have a packard bell with win98 SE. Occasionally a windows error box appears telling me it can't find the file 'SirC32.exe' which is needed for opening files of type application. When this does appear I can't run any applications on the Pc and I have to restart. I have a feeling Internet Explorer seems to bring it on. Can anyone help me out it's driving me mad!

That file is the SirCam virus. Here's a free online scanner:
Try this page it has probably more about this virus than you need but it's very complete.

Ditto the above, however your PC may be paralysed after deletion of the worm. If so try this link to a fix.

This is from someone who had sircam 32 virus. You need to follow the removal instructions to the letter. if you want, go to and do a search for sircamw32.download the removal tool, follow the instructions.If you had no virus protection running, well your screwed! This virus cost me a new harddrive! Lesson; never let you subscription run out! LOL PEARL
