We just got a new server. It has 6GB of memory. Win 2000 doesn't recognize above 4GB. The server is not in production yet, but we just got everything setup and ready to go.

Is there any reason's why we shouldn't just reinstall Win 2000 Advanced Server to gain access to the extra 2GB of memory?

Does SQL Server or ASP have any issues with Win 2000 Advanced Server? Does it run faster or slower?

There is no reason you shouldn't install W2K Advanced Server.

Assuming you are licensed for 2KAS, go for it. It doesn't run any slower than 2K standard, just adds support for more memory, more processors, and clustering support.
