Will there be a maintenance release of 8.0? 1

Release 8.1 is GA already for more then 2 weeks and 7.0.36 a bit longer already.
But when will there be a maintenace release for 8.0?
I wonder if this has to do with the new VCM cards.

Avaya has always supported N+1 which is 8.0 and 8.1
They even released a maintenance release for 7.0 just because 8.1 took a little bit longer.
I do not understand why it takes them so long to release a 8.0 maintenance release for 8.0

I am probably being quite dumb but why not call 8.1 9.0 if its a major release?

So then they support N+1 and not N+1.x(when they feel like it)

I don't know why Avaya does do that.
For the "normal" IPO 8.1 has very little new features and it could have been a maintenance release

If you had an issue when it was supported and a case was raised and the bug proven then you get a free upgrade license.

The IPO server is the only option for bigger solutions but it is still not really enterprise.

Do you know why it takes so long?
Has it to do with the VCM32V2 cards perhaps? (that would be the only logical explanation to me)

Hi, there will be a maintenance release for 8, it will be 8.0(45) or soemthing like that. I have an SR opened in Avaya and that's what I was told, that my issue wil get fixed after 8.045 gets released by the end of the quarter.
