I have a query set up so it pops up a dialog box asking for criteria i.e. [Enter Job Number], however I sometimes need to be able to use a wildcard to retrieve and filter out data. I've tried this "Like [Enter Job Number]", but it returns no values.
I'm using Access 95 v.7 for this at work, I've looked through everything trying to figure out how to be able to use wildcards in the criteria dialog box, can anyone point me in the right direction, I'm sure it's really easy
and I'm just looking in the wrong place.

Try:
Code:
Like [Enter Job Number] & "*"

Hoc nomen meum verum non est.

If you are using the * try this:

Like "*" & [Enter Job Number] & "*"

Wonderful, both examples work great, why is this so hard to find in the book? I should have been able to figure this one out though, kinda feel silly now.
