Hi guys,

I have to cover a distance of approx. 1000ft in 802.11a ideally (or b/g if I need to). It is an outdoor location and I have been told I dont have a good line of sight (not been there yet ... I will go for a recon probably friday).

So my question is : If I use those 20+dBi antennas (one at each end) they sell everywhere, do you think I will be able to cover this distance ? I know for sure that if I had a perfect LoS it wouldnt be a problem, but do you guys have any experience working with directionnal antennas in a obstructed path ? What do you think is the better wifi technology (a, b or g) to cover the greatest distance ? Anyway, I will go there friday and see at what point is the path obstructed.

Thank you very much.
