Hi all - I have been working on Definity's for over 10 years and this is the first time I have come across this one. I have a Definity with a 2404/765/2401 Processor setup that we bought as a unit to test circuit packs and 7400/8400 sets. When I log into the unit with CRAFT, it returns the following message before the command prompt:

License-Error: Valid License Required
Call Processing Will Be Blocked in approximately 4 Hours

Command:

If I try to use the NEW command, it says that "new" is an invalid entry, and it does not show up under help. If the unit needs a license where do I get one? I have never come across this. Can anyone please help me?

you get the license from AVAYA's RFA website, but, you need an SAP order #/RFA Transaction #, to be able to generate it. If it's used equipment, you really won't be able to get it without shelling out some big bucks for RTU... sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

All you have the right to use when you buy used equipment is the hardware, you can not buy the software used.

Thanks, Mitch. Can i just replace the 7404, 765, or 2401 - or all three? I might be able to find these used with the software already on-board.
