I just recently reinstalled windows xp on my machine for various reasons. I am now having a wierd problem that I have never had before and I'm not too sure on how to fix it. Whenever I double click on a file folder it opens up a search, instead of exploring the file folder. When you right click on a file folder, "Search" is in bold letters, which I'm assuming means its the default action upon a double click. I've went into my folder settings and looked for a way to fix it but as of yet can't figure it out. I know there's a tab in the folder settings that lets you change actions for different filetypes, but when I check the actions for the "File Folders" one, the only action in it is "Find". I've tried creating an "Open" but I need a pathname for some sort of file that would explore the file folder.
Any help would be appreciated!!

No guarantee, and I'm sure someone will tell me that I'm completely wrong, but try this. In Windows Explorer, click on the Tools menu and in both the General and View tabs there is a button to Restore Defaults.

Thanks for the help!! That help article fixed the problem great.
