Hi guys,
I have had this issue occur on other CDs created with programs other than Director MX. It happens sometimes when I pop in a CD that I created in Flash MX. On the Flash CD, the audio SOMETIMES echos, sticks, or shutters sort of like the person narrating the CD is talking through a big fan. It happened once and I poped the CD out and put it in another PC machine, and it was perfectly fine. This problem seems to be very inconsistant...I created the CD several years ago, and never had this problem until now and it doesn't happen in the same spot durring the CD.

The same issue has occured with a CD I created with Director MX. The QuickTime Movies sometimes shutter and get stuck like a broken record. I can stop the movie and replay it and it works fine. Its unpredictible...it doesn't always occur. Is this a software, computer or CD issue? I tend to think its a CD or Computer issue, since this has happened to two different CDs, created by two different programs. Has anyone had this happen to them before? What would you guys advise me to do? Thanks for your help.

One thing you can try is to load your QuickTime movie into memory using preLoadMember.

The three QuickTime movies that are on the CD are really huge...wouldn't preloading them slow down the play back of the movies when they are called? Just curious, I've heard that streamming is better when playing back very large files.
I had a similar issue with another CD created with Flash that didn't have a QuickTime Movie in it, and preloaders were used throughout the CD. Could it be cheap CD-Rs causing this problem? I'll try the "preLoadMember" and see what happens. Thanks for your help again kennethkawamoto. I really appreciate it.
