Greetings,
I have come across a strange occurrence that I can't source:

With a certain workbook I have open, closing Excel completely using the upper-most and right close button (x) gives the following message:

"A formula in this worksheet contains one or more invalid references.
Verify that your formulas contain a valid path, workbook, range name, and cell reference."

However, if I simply close the workbook, leaving Excel open (lower x), message doesn't appear.

Further, with this workbook open, I can click "New" to bring up a blank workbook, then close Excel completely (upper x) without getting the error.

Any thoughts on what the heck is going on? I have searched through all cells, names, conditional formatting, etc., and can't find anything invalid.

Thanks!

Are you using Dynamic Charts?

Yes, I suppose so, but the range referenced always contains information (what I found to be a common question to a similar problem). Could this still be the reason?

I am sorry, I can't remember what to do. But it has to do with dynamic charts where the references are behaving oddly. I will post if I remember.
