I need a wide report area for exports with many columns. I know that this is determined by the printer setup. Previously with XP I set up a virtual printer that allowed wide printing. I'm now on Vista and my previous printer set up is gone and I can't see all my columns. What driver can I install to get the wide view? Or is there some other way to achieve this? I have Crystal 10.

Not sure what works with Vista, but a printer that is often recommended for very wide pages is the HP Designjet 3500.

Yes, I couldn't get the 3500 driver from Windows Update but the HP Designjet 4500 was available and did the trick. Thank you.

Another option is to get a PDF print utility like CutePDF or PDF Creator. I use CutePDF on Vista because PDF Creator is not Vista compatible. Both set up a fake printer and allow you to use a custom paper size.

When you get to Crystal 12 (2008) you can do this directly in Crystal Reports (finally).
