I need to create a report with approx 40 columns in crystal and then export it to excel.

If I have 7 or 8 columns this works fine because my printer supports that page size (8.5x11) however I cannot create a "wide report" even if all I wanted to do is export it to excel

If you have any ideas as to how I can do this please let me know

I am using crystal 8.5

With CR 8.5, I chose File > Printer Setup, I
selected a paper size (I tried 12x18), and then set the orientation to landscape.

This gave me a larger width in the designer.

Maybe something like this would help you.

Keep in mind that Crystal is based on the printer installed.

Here's the mutha of all print sizes:

HP 3500 CP

It's a standard Windows printer driver so you should be able to install it.

Allows for about 108 feet in it's largest paper size in landscape orientation.

No good for print, but allows plenty of geography for displays and exports.

Hmm. I was going to suggest that Umeman uses landscape orientation with the smallest font available. But that's never going to beat 108-feet wide paper.
