whyy can't I export from the clipboard??

I have a problem, I can't export my photos from photoshop to my other programmes because my computer has started to say they are too big for the clipboard, they are really small 4x4cm so why is this and can anyone offer a solution please?? thankyou.

How much memory(RAM) do you have on your machine?

What platform are you using?

What is the DPI of your images?

Thanks so much for answering, the dpi were the problem, I had already looked at that but what I didn't see the first time that I had inadvertenly changed the dpi to dots per cm's!! obviously alot more dots! now that I have all my pics imported they won't print out all I get is empty pic boxes any ideas on that? muski.
