hi all! i am having a serious problem trying to lay out a page for web. here is a screenshot of what i'm trying to do.

basically, i have a header, and a menu, and the open space, i have some text & photos to fill, but for some reason, when i set up my table, i get this gap. How do i make it stop gapping, or does anyone see a better way for me to split up my page in fireworks? it's a full page with just that big piece taken out of the center. i just want my edges to meet! i've never had this problem before!

i am really at my wits end, and i need some more eyes on this! :)

the code for the page would be more helpfull but check your image borders and cellspacing and padding make sure thay all are 0 and post the page code plase
[afro] sigh

Also have a look on the html files which you are loading in the frames they should have in <BODY> left and top margin &quot;0&quot;. But If the pictures are set as Background, than you dont need margins.
Maybe its not your case.....good luck (-: ...........................Mtj

Can you post the URL or the code?? I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

ok
try this
find this line:
<td colspan=&quot;2&quot; valign=&quot;top&quot;><img src=&quot;/righthead.png&quot; width=&quot;720&quot; height=&quot;200&quot;></td>
and add the bit ---valign=&quot;top&quot;---- in it so it reads as above. It works when i added it and viewed it!!

hope this helps Please see my site at:

Do you mix tables and layers? I am trying to not get the background to duplicate so I setup up one big table with a picture of the background and then proceeded to add layers to the front of the picture. Needless to say, all the layers seem to float on the page? Sorry about the newbie question?
