Why we are not seen more tablet applications on the market yet? How much tablet development do

you see in the future?

Thank you

The problem is that so few people have them. Nintendo has done a better job marketing the DS than Microsoft and partners have done with the tablet. I love the tablet, and wish there were more. The development of UMPCs

which run the tablet OS may encourage further development.

Something else to consider is that a lot of the development for tablet PCs is taking place in the vertical market (healthcare, supply chain, etc). So you are less likely to see shrink-wrapped tablet applications than you would be to see vendors including tablet functionality in their applications.

To take the healthcare example: a medical facility might buy an electronic medical records system than includes a database component, and application server component, a web server component for remote access, a thick client for desktop PCs and a tablet PC component for use in exam rooms, at the bedside, etc.

You might go to and sign up for Technet & TS/2 events. Then you can speak to Microsoft staff directly and ask Q's. They are very informative. You can sign up as a Microsoft Developer, Partner, etc.

Seek out Microsoft Tablet forums as well as Toshiba, Fujitsu,Panasonic, Gateway, HP, Sourceforge, Microsoft Mindshare etc. forums & websites. Also PCMagcast.com & user groups. Call Microsoft.

What kind of applications are you looking for? What are your interests? Keep us posted.
