I configured the hyperterminal with the following settings: 9600-8-None-1-none, Emulation = "Auto Detect" ;and in ASCII Setup: checked "Echo typed characters locally"; and checked "Append line feeds to incoming line ends"

What am I doing wrong because the only thing i see on the screen of the hyperterminal is the same weird character.

Please help me, I need to have a record of the phonecalls in the office.

thanks,

Sergio

what are you trying to capture

probobly the baud rate

Colin

I always use VT220 for the emulation. I don't know if that will solve your problem, but it is a start.

Additionally, do you have an SEB modem attached to your PBX? If so, you need to know what the password is in order to log in.

I need this because I am trying to have a record of all the outgoing and incoming calls from all the extensions. I am using a SMDR interface unit.

with the following setup works: 1200,8,N,1,N

thanks

Sergio

your baud rate needs to match that set on the PBX port you are attached to. On CDR applications though - setup will work with 7/space/1, or 7/even/1, or 7/mark/1
