Why my mouse cannot cut & copy

What should I do to enable my mouse perform cut & copy function? i.e. hold right btn hilight some words from this page then right click the middle btn copy it to another file. It doesn't work on my window98.<br>

How the various mouse buttons respond is a function of your mouse drivers<br>
in Windows and the way your application program uses mouse keys.<br>
Check that you have the mouse driver properly installed and that the<br>
application program ducumentation allows for what you are trying to accomplish.

Can you Drag & Drop?, if not reinstall or update Internet Explorer and this should sort the problem
