why?(.jpg -> .jpb.vbs)

Downloaded .html files and pictures.(from web browser, I saved them)
.jpg changes to .jpg.vbs
I can¡¯t see the pictures anymore. What happen here? What¡¯s going on?

dunno really...but I am paranoid and I would SCAN my COMPUTER for a VIRUS [Hammer]

Actually, Your computer is now infected with a virus! Sorry for the bad news!

Next time have your anti-virus scan all downloads and that your AV is up to date!

.vbs is usually 99.99% a viral infection for your cpu. Check out the Symantec website or Mcafee for viruses that might have the characteristics yours has! [Hammer]

While this really does sound like a virus, saying that 99.99% of .vbs files are virus is pretty misleading and very untrue.

.vbs is an extension for VBScript.

ya. but when was the last time you dlled an image and it all of a sudden got a .vbs extension attached to it ;) [Hammer]

I said above that it sounds very much like a virus but you said the following:

.vbs is usually 99.99% a viral infection for your cpu.

To someone that finds a .vbs file on their machine after reading that, it could prompt them to remove a file that is in no way even slighly related to a virus.

Considering that a healthy system can contain vbs system files and a high number of programs install vbs files, that statment can only be seen as misleading.
