I had an employee leave and a new one hired. The old employees phone rang with extension 100 as well as a few others. The new employee does not require that and I cannot understand how to remove her phone from what ever lsit it is one. I have access to the system via Hyperterminal but cannot find the appropriate area in the system to address this, can someone help?

Eric

We can help you if you tell us what system you have.

Right, I have a Starplus STS system Software Version 20050, Prompts Version 10000. I'm not sure what else you need to know.

You can program through extension 100 directly or through hyperterminal. You need to enter programming and go into flash 40 for ringing options. Just remove the extension in question from the list and hit hold to save. Good luck...

Did you understand that ringing programming?

Yes, I got that and checked it. One problem, the only assignments are 450D and 100N. I am not sure what to do from here.

450 is a hunt group. You need to remove that extension from the hunt group 450. Hunt group programming is in your manual, disk). Good Luck...

I already checked that too. I found that if hunt group 450 is not listed, it rings directly, if it is, it is picked up by the auto attendant. I checked hunt group 450 and the stations assigned are 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156 and 157. I have also check call coverage and that is not it. I am lost, I guess it may never get fixed. Thanks anyway.

Those extensions are your voicemail ports. If you have a voicemail card in your cabinet and dial the extension number, let's say 152, then your auto-attendant should answer. Voicemail groups are, by default, 440-447. Hunt group 450 should not have those extensions in them unless you do not have voicemail. Exactly what extension number do you not want to ring anymore on incomming calls? I'd like to get an answer for you. I'll be on the road the rest of the week, so now is a good time.

Yes, when I dial those extensions, 151-157, the auto attendant does answer and I DO have voicemail. By the way, I did not set this up, I am just trying to manage it now.

At this point, when extension 100 rings with a call, if it is dialed directly from the auto attendant menus or transfered when pushing option 2 in the auto attendant, extension 100, 101, 103 and 109 rings, I don't want 103 to be included in that any longer. I really appreciate any help you have to offer.

Problem fixed.

I have checked and checked call coverage, but upon checking again, I found that flex button 1 was assigned; I did not even think to check buttons 1 - 12 being as they are to be assigned to specific extensions, button 1 DSS 101 etc...

Thanks for your help, I fixed the problem. Simple, should have known.
