why doesn't Samba Server want my password?

hello,
i've got a strange problem here. i set up a samba server on a trustix linux system, everything works fine except for the fact that a user on a windows maschine can log on to his account on the server without having to give a password. why? i don't understand whats going on, hope someone can help me.

here's my smb.conf:

What is he logged in as in Windows? That is automattically passed to Samba.

he's logged in in winxp with the same username as he has on the server, but the winxp account is one without password-protection, so the winxp maschiene cannot pass any password on to the server

Hi,

Are you sure that you log in as a user or it uses the guest a/c ?

try changing "guest ok = no"
