why doesn't load vars work when loaded into a mc?

Hi, i have been wondering, why doesn't the loadVars(); work when you load an external swf (with the loadVars() into a mc in a different swf?

any ideas??

Can you post some code and/or a link to a mockup .fla replicating the problem, zipped up and in MX only format, not MX2004?

The second link is a 404 not found...

The first link works but both .flas are empty?

Where they still in the Flash application when you zipped them up?

And were they in a MX only format, not MX2004?
