Hi All,

Why is it that when I activate Routing & Remote Access none of the computers on the network can find the server? I tried pinging the server and I get a timed out error.

This is my first time attempting to set up a VPN.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Aloha,

James

what kind of VPN did you set up ? PPTP or L2TP with IPSec ?

Did you fill in gateway addresses on the network cards
Are you in a subnetted environment ? Peter Van Eeckhoutte

All I did was run the wizard. I chose PPTP through the wizard. We have one server with 4 local connections. We do have people that work from home/out of state that we would like to allow access to our network. Am I going about this the right way?? Do you have any advice?? suggestions??

Aloha,

James

You should try to set up w2k and a vpn server instead. DZ
