Why does not autosave not work?

I am not having any luck with the autosave feature working.
Has anybody else had this happen?
I have set it in the File - Options - Reporting Tab. It is set to save after 5 minutes. It has not been successful in saving anything automatically.

I am using CR8.5 on Win 2000 Pro. I have tried creating simple reports, complex reports and everything in-between. I have tested a number different times to see if it will save but no such luck.

Does this feature actually work in design or do you have to have a report with data in it before it will save?

It does work it's just that it doesn't autosave the report to the folder your report is in, instead it puts it in your TEMP folder and calls it <report name>.autosave.rpt.
