Does anyone know to increase the spped of dial-up modem connection over MD110 analog line.Although the modems is 56K ,they are not conected at this speed at all
To connect at 56K you need have two differents kind of modems 56K Server Modem, and the 56K normal modem of the PC.
Wuth two ordinary modem of 56K, may by yo connect at only 33.6Kb.
A 56K modem can only connect at speeds in excess of 33.6 if one of the two "modems" is digitally attached. If you have more than one analog to digital (a/d) conversion, there is too much error to support the V.9x rates.
If you have access to ISDN at one of the two sites, you can emulate a modem with a terminal adapter and acheive the higher rates.
