Why can't I insert blocks from a CD-ROM?

I have burned a CD-ROM with a bunch of frequently-used blocks on it, but I cannot insert them into my active drawing! DDINSERT, copy & paste, drag & drop all fail with "Invalid Block Name" error. Anybody know why? Thanks!

Did you properly close the CD so it can be read be all CD ROMs? Have you checked the file attributes? Not real sure about this one.

figured it out...thanks anyway! I needed to have very standard directory names on the disc (which I didn't). It works now. AutoCAD 2000 didn't have a problem with it, but R14 did.
