I'll keep it simple...we have:
1) Set up a new Exchange 2003 server install.
2) Purchased a static IP (network solutions) and pointed the mx records at our exchange server.
3) Created a recipient policy for the matching domain for our users in system manager and created mailboxes.
4) Opened port 25 to our exchange server behind our firewall so smtp can get through and out.

BUT SOME EMAILS ARE NOT GETTING THOUGH AND OTHERS DO. =(
AS and example GMAIL.com is not getting though, but HOTMAIL does.

What am I missing?

Thank you in advance,

vex

Is gmail the only domain not working or are there other large domains not working as well?

If mail is having issues with the large domains or you are using Cisco firewall it's probably the EDNS issues that everyone is having. You would want to disable EDNS probes.

Ok I am starting to get a delayed message from GMAIL and it SAYS it is a DNS issue, BUT OTHER EMAILS ARE GETTING THROUGH. Suggestions?
