Ok, problem here. My Flash site is like 130kbs. It takes for ever to download, i just tested it on my dial up. Great on my cable but dial up is another story. I have a feeling that even a preloader wont fix this, and i have tried decreasing the jpg's down to 9 or 8 kb each, which is not bad, probably can just a tad more but what is wrong here?
i know someone will ask for the link so here it is, you know how it is about showing something that dont work!

Any suggestions? Thanks everyone!!!!!

I am going to tear into it tonight to see if WHITETIGER is right about that, although i have searched today by deleting some of the objects in my movies and have not seen anything yet! Thanks again for the words of wizdom and i also think it will only use the stuff in the library if it is being used.....

VIRT2001: Yea i used to use Flash 4 and noticed 5 has some gradients and stuff that i have not yet looked at, i do most of my graphics in Fireworks and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7.01. Thanks again!

No relation between movie size (the swf) and what's in the library. As Virt said, what's on the timeline(s) including hidden mcs is what makes up movie size.
Of course, unused items in the library, will make for abigger sized .fla.
