If I go into SMIT using a standard user login, I get no menu options
BUT
If I do it as root, I see all the options ?

How do I correct this ?

When you're your own user, what does 'echo $ODMDIR' say?? It should say /etc/objrepos.

It could also be the permissions on /etc/objrepos or files in it.

hi;
where the ODMDIR is set when i login myself user?
who can tell me which file the ODMDIR is set to /etc/objrepos?

thanx

Hi,

ODMDIR is set in the /etc/environment file, points to /etc/objrepos by default and is used at system boot.

smitty looks for /usr/lib/objrepos/sm_* files to build its menus. Check that user/group have sufficient rights (at least read) on this directory/files

Hi,
you can configure:
/etc/security/smitacl.group
/etc/security/smitacl.user

(man smitacl.group, man smitacl.user)
