I recently rebuild the old clipper 5.0 setup from my original disks.
This is the very first clipper 5.0 version dated 09/15/90.
The patches / updates on the CA support website require a build version of 128 and when applying this patch the patch indicates that the files to be patched are the wrong files.

So, does anyone still have the (probably) very first patch to the very first clipper 5.0 version?

Rob,

Any particular reason to re-instal 5.0? It's full of bugs, su you'd better directly go to 5.2, preferably 5.2e as it's the most 'compatible' release of Clipper ever. ;-)

TonHu,

Yes, I have all Clipper versions (including the 5.2 and 5.3 versions) since their first appearence and all of them are up to date - all available patches and updates are installed, except for this one, being the original 5.0 version of 09/15/90.
CA has the old patches available except for the 5.0 to 5.01 build 128 version.
And that is the one patch I am looking for.

Well, sorry Rob, I guess I just threw 5.0 stuff away, about 10 years ago :-(, and then, it would have been on floppy's, and I know I can't read most of the floppys from those days (even 3,5") anyhow, so...

Yes please.

I am looking for the very first patch which transforms the first clipper 5.0 files (09/15/30) to a 5.01 release with build 128.
