Hello!
Im trying to find a best drop-down menu for my website. Can anyone suggest some simple(well, doesnt matter) way to have a fully compatible (screen sizes, different browsers) drop-down menus for your own created buttons?

I started to manage one site, and they were using a menu, where position of the menus were set up by javascript and design by CSS. But as soon as some screen size is not mentioned in the js file, they are out of their position, and also the same problem appears with different browsers, like IE and Opera.

Is there a way to create a drop-down menu, which sticks to the buttons, no matter what browser or screen resolution you're using?

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

Srivas

Well, it isn't free but pop menu magic from projectseven.com is great. It is easy to use and the css is very easy to modify (great manual too)to customize to your site.

Oh I forgot. projectseven.com has free tutorials on building your own css pop down menus. You may find the code you need to build your own if you don't want to buy the dreamweaver plugin.

Thanks you all, I'll check them out as soon as I can.

Hello!

I tried both options, and they are pretty similar, but I couldnt change the a tags with my buttons, it all became messed up. So I tried to create comletely new menu, without my pre-designed buttons, but then all the buttons had the same size, whis makes the whole row too long. And I dont know how to make buttons to have a size according to the lenght of name, this option was not available in projectseven script, and my manual editing of js also didnt work out.

So Im still stuck. Maybe someone can suggest a page where this is implemented nicely, so then I could read source to figure it out?

Or is there any other options? Nice program to create flash based menu? Well, whatever works, I really need to solve it one way or another.

Thanks.

I'd recommend looking at some of the CSS menus that Stu Nichols offers at none very DW friendly but very clean and cross-browser compatible!

"There are 3 kinds of people; those that can count and those that can't"

u do realize that using show hide layers u can get this done in DW...that is what projectseven guys are doing....depends on how complex the menu and how often does it need to be updated.
