This is no troll but I only wonder which Unix is best? I heard that Linux kinda sucks, and Solaris is mature and better? Right now Im using Solaris x86. Would like to stick with one Unix. Which one?

Yes, IBM has developped the concept of "proprietary unix" ;-)

I don't have any AIX experience so I don't know how the other half lives... however a tip is to use an open sd.conf, i.e. specify all 255 LUNs for the targets you are likely to use, or be more conservative if you prefer, and then when you need new disks simply present them, reset HBAs, devfsadm -c disk and Bob's your uncle.

SunOS/Solaris are direct descendants of BSD so I guess it makes sense that they should share some features (UNIX Genealogy) although doesn't excuse any recent plagiarism.

I guess I'd better get my hands on an AIX box some time soon! [bluegreedy]
