Hi all,

Just wondering, which of the following is more CPU intensive (if they are the same size and shape)?

1) Gradient animation using shape tweening
2) Brightness and Alpha animation using motion tweening

Thanks!

Willy

Sounds like two visually-different effects, so there doesn't seem a point in comparing them for byte-consumption.

Hi,

I do need to know which one is more processor intensive though, just because I want to determine which effect to use based on it.

Thanks!

Willy

Just create man! Try both of them on your machine! If one works better than the other, use that one! If they both work, use both!
Would numbers really change your whole life?

X-)

Hi,

Can someone just give me a straight answer to this? It doesn't matter whether it's going to change my life or anything, I just really want to know!

Thanks!

Willy

I think shape tweening is slightly more CPU Intensive. You could always just get a CPU load testing utility though and test the theory.

You can find such free utilities here:

...Is that a better answer? Or do you want me to test it for you? Wouldn't be a great success if I did... Judging upon my testing of your sense of humor!

Have a nice day!
