Sorry for the lack of knowledge, I don't have much experience with the CS1000 side of things.

Have a customer with a CS1000 and has tasked me with getting them an SRG50 (which I have in stock) and whatever licenses are needed on the CS1000 to make it all work.

Can anyone help me with CS1000 part #'s etc needed to accomplish this?

Thank you

A customer I knew had SRG and here are the license details they had

The CS1000 will need to have some VOIP trunks which I recall were H323.

From what I remember, the programming was fairly straight forward and a typical IP phone was programmed as..

The important part is the zone number as it was a different one per SRG site location.

The call routing was complex in that it was tagged against the zone number.

The trunks were..

The most important thing to remember which was always a major problem was the mismatch with the IP firmware. We had to be sure that any replacement IP phones had the right firmware. The best answer is to get both systems to have the same firmware installed and not to change it unless you do both at the same time.

You are aware that some of us know how to update the BCM firmware, so this shouldn't be a problem.

All SRG does is in effect to have IP phones from the BCM be registered to the CS1000 system when working correctly and any calls coming into the BCM are passed straight over the VOIP link into the CS1000 first before going to the phones wherever they might be deployed such as via ACD etc.

If the VOIP link fails, then the BCM becomes a stand alone system and all BCM IP phones become local extensions and the calls pass over to them until the link is restored.

Registering the phones is a little different in that I think we used port 7300 and it took a few minutes to complete as two firmware downloads are done. one via the BCM and the other via the CS1000. That was why you need to have the right firmware installed.

I have more information if you require it.
