Hello everybody,

I´m new to this forum and I look for the correct directory $PMRootDir when my repository and database is installed on localhost. Should I fill in the program folder where Informatica is installed? Such like C:\program files\informatica...\bin
I serched for it, but I found not the right post.

Matthias

Sorry,

under thread388-462542 and thread388-746845 is mentioned the same problem. But I think it doen´t help. I still don´t know what to fill in for $PMRootDir.

Thankx in advance
Matthias

Example , Install Powercenter in D:\Powercenter, then D:\Powercenter is your $PMRootDir

It also depends on how much space you have and how big your log files will get. We had to move our session logs to a larger partition because some of them were huge and ate up the C: drive - doh!

The default is the powercenter directory. Is yours not set up that way?

Hi

I also facing same problem. I am not able to run a workflow. Its giving me an error which says can't connect to the xxxServer. I configured the server and all the required informatica services are running.

Pls advice me to come of this problem and als pls tell me what are all the services that are to be up and running inorder to run a workflow.

In my services, I have informatica and informatica Repository services only. Are they sufficient or I need to to start any other service, if yes where can i found that serice.

I installed Informatica 7.1.1 on Oracle 10g in a windows XP system.(Its a stand alone system and informatica and oracle are running on same system)

Thanks in advance

Are you sure that you have the proper useraccount set up in oracle to connect to the repository?

Did you check the settings in workflow manager (server editor). What happens if you try to resolve server in the edit panel?

Ties Blom

Its able to resolve the ip address of my system
when I press resolve, my system ip is shown in appropriate place.
