I will have 2 T1's coming into our network. Both transit circuits are different providers.

One T1 will be a straight data. The 2ne one is TBD - but it will serve as voice as well on the 2nd circuit. I am still debating doing a integrated T1 via 6 fixed TDM channels and the rest of it would be data or a DYNAMIC T1 which would be doing voip on the voice side- back out to a E1 interface for a PRI trunk into our PBX.

Will the 2801 do the trick with the appropriate wic/vwic cards and IOS software ?

On the integrated dynamic circuits, alot of providers are using the IAD2431. I'd like to not have to have *2* routers in house but just one servicing both circuits.

chefwong,

your question would impos a lot of digging..something that you should do..

..but i know that 2811 will support more cards than the 2801...for my specific example the IDS module...2801 will not support... so go for the bigger is better terminology..

If you are planning on voice go with the 2811 or even better the 2821. The 2801 will not support an NM. The 2821 will support the EVM module which will be much easier to deal with and more flexible than the 4 port FXS/FXO cards tieing up wic slots. The 2801 was designed for a small site with one T1. Once you move to duals you need to consider something larger. Also remember that the 2801 only supports 24 SRST phones and CME. However, it will support CUE with an optional AIM module. For voice, i recommend starting with the 2821 and moving up from there based on DSP/Voice Feature requirements.
