Well this forum has helped me a number of times with my MICS, so I figure I'll give it a shot for my last problem... does anyone buy used systems or know of a good place to sell mine?

buys stuff, but they, like most that buy them dont give alot of money for phones themselves, the systems depend on age, software version condition etc.

Look at what the same stuff sells for on Ebay and then see if a reseller will give you about the same.

What kind of system & software release? What does it include (cards, phones, etc)?

It's a MICS 6.1 system with:

2 T1 cards
2 analog line cards
Trunk mod
2 fiber station mods
1 fiber analog station mod
Callpilot 100
SMDR 6
FastRAD
40 7316e sets
1 CAP w/power supply
1 7324(?) forget the exact model

Sounds like a pretty good system to me... if you don't mind my asking, why are you selling it (and about what are you looking to get for it) ?

It's been great for us... no problems to speak of... I also realized I forgot to say it has a 6 port fiber combo card and also a services/clocking card.

We are switching over to an asterisk-based VOIP system because it is cutting our bill down from around $2500 a month to about $400. We have 36 out of 40 people migrated so I'm looking to get an idea of the market for the system even though it's not ready for sale just yet.

I think we paid around $6k for it a few years back but obviously technology changes, so I'm not sure what to ask for it... I've been looking to get bids from a bunch of different places so I don't sell myself short. What do you think it's worth?

Hi Brian... we actually bought some parts from you... I had sent an e-mail to Bill since I remembered you guys buy systems also.

You've got to figure that the t7316e sets (assuming that they are the E sets) on average sell for around $125 on eBay. Figuring that you even got $100 each for them, that is $4000.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could get at least $6k for the system.

Can you post your e-mail and I'll forward you what I have? Thx
