Hello everyone, does anybody know what i need to get and install in my linux , to work around with a version of sybase?

I have experience in Mysql and everybody out there are posting jobs for people who know sybase.

So i thought i would give it a try and see what's the difference.

Is there a big difference between mysql and sybase or the commands are all the same?

What exactly is sybase? Is it true that i have to buy it to use it?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Sybase is free with some minor restrictions on linux operating systems.
You can ask for adaptive server 12.5 or install it from
for the difference there always have to be adaptation on the new language that you get to know. it's all about time.
