I am running a Sun V880 with Solaris 8. I wnt to find out the WWN of my fiber card? Does anyone know the command to do this?

Thanks

Which model is the card ?

If it's an Emulex make, you can download the lpfc package from Emulex website. Run prtdiag to to identify the model.
If you're connecting to a EMC frame, check EMC powerlink for the compatibility matrix as a best practice, and get the correct version.

If it's a JNI, you should be able to download from the JNI website.

More to the previous post. For Emulex cards, install HBAnyware package, and run /usr/sbin/lpfc/lputil command follow the menu selections to get the

Reboot and the wwn will be in the messages file as well as dmesg. It ain't a secret:))
