Got a question for y'all.

I have a bad monitor cable. It's a 17' SONY, not sure of the model (I'm at work and the monitor's at home). It's one of the older models. Anyway, I've been looking for a replacement cable. One end of the cable is a 15 pin VGA male, the other end's connected to the PCB just behind the tube. This end's divided into three parts, one's the ground, a set's for the RGB, and the other set's for something else... Does anybody know where to get this kind of cable? A used one's OK, too..

Thanks,
Ferdinand.

Those cables are actually quite common - I replaced one a probably two years ago, found mine off of I don't know it they still sell them there, but you can find them many places, just do a search on google for "bnc monitor cable".

Well, I know what you're talking about, but it's not one of those BNC cables.

I don't know what that kinda connector's called, but the other end of the cable looks like the end of a cd-rom cable, just wider.. and there are two that look like that one. The other one's just a ground.

hmm, can't say I recognize what you are saying now...

Sony makes I think all the monitors for Sun workstations, maybe search down that avenue? I'm just throwing out a thought.
