Hi guys,

I am tryng to locate the registry key that causes a DOS window to be closed on exit (This is part of a software application that I have written).

If you open a DOS window and go to the properties, there is a checkbox called 'close on exit'.

Where is this registry key located?

Thanks in advance.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Here's how to find out if a registry key is involved.

Get Regmon (free) from SysInternals. Regmon will show you whenever any registry entry is being referenced.

Start Regmon, then open a DOS window, and change the checkbox. Watch Regmon, and see what change is identified.

When you do this, the less other system activity going on, the easier it will to see the activity in the DOS window.

Cheers,

Chuck
